  • Does Kakedemic offer refunds?
    No. Kakedemic does not offer refunds for any purchases. In the rare event that you receive the wrong order, please reach out to us via phone at 301-450-9367 and we will replace it for the correct one within 24 hours.
  • Do you accept same-day pick-up orders?
    Because we receive a large volume of pick-up orders for each day, we request that all pre-orders be placed by 5:00pm ET 48 hours prior to the desired delivery date, via our online ordering system. However, same-day pick up orders may be available by calling us at 571-659-5177 or contacting us. Please note that same-day pick-ups may not be available on dates when we are fulfilling a high volume of pick-up orders.
  • Do you deliver your desserts locally?
    Yes! We offer local delivery seven days a week. Please be mindful that orders must be placed at least 48 hours (2 days) before the date you desire to received them. This allows our team to prepare quality desserts for you and your loved ones to enjoy! Please visit our ORDER page to place a local pickup or delivery order. The minimum order for delivery is $40. Customers may choose from the available delivery time windows on our website when placing an order. Our earliest three-hour delivery window is 11am to 2pm. Our latest delivery window is 7pm to 9pm. All available delivery dates and times will be shown on the website ordering system. Local delivery orders must be placed by 5pm ET two days before desired delivery. Please note that Kakedemic may impose earlier order cut-off dates and times for order dates when we are fulfilling a high volume of delivery orders. During peak delivery periods, Kakedemic may occasionally be unable to accommodate your specific requested delivery window. For any local delivery-related inquiries, please contact us and a member of our team would be delighted to assist!
  • Can I phone or e-mail an order for pick-up or delivery?
    Of course! The best way to place an order is through our online ordering system. You can also place an order by calling us at 571-659-5177 and one of our team members would be happy to assist you with placing an order over the phone or via email. All available pick-up and delivery dates and times, and shipping arrival dates will be shown on the website ordering system. Please note that Kakedemic may impose earlier order cut-off dates and times for order dates when we are fulfilling a high volume of pick-up and / or delivery orders.
  • Does Kakedemic offer special frosting colors?
    Yes, we do offer specific frosting color options for orders placed in advance. Color options include baby blue, baby pink, bubblegum pink or sunshine yellow, black, red, green, blue cream cheese frosting on our cakes or in our dessert jars. To discuss a custom order, please contact us and a member of our team would be delighted to assist you. For corporate orders involving multiple locations or multiple recipients, please contact kakedemic@gmail.com.
  • If I placed a pre-order, do I have to wait in line? Where do I pick-up?
    If you are picking up an order you will receive instructions on where to meet our team, the day before your is ready to be picked up. We are located at 5103 57th Ave. Bladensburg, MD. 20710.
  • How do I store my desserts once I pick them up or receive them?
    We recommend that you store your desserts at room temperature (except our cheesecakes) and enjoy them on the date of pick-up or delivery. If you will be consuming the desserts more than 24 hours after purchasing them, we recommend freezing them and enjoying them for up to 10 days after they are purchased. To thaw them, leave them at room temperature for 2–3 hours before they are to be served.
  • How can I join Kakedemic's email distribution list?
    You can join our email list by entering your email address in the newsletter field on our home page. Kakedemic regularly sends out email newsletters featuring new flavors and assortments as well as discount codes to be used on orders.
  • Can I order a flavor or item that is not available on the menu?
    Unfortunately, we are only able to offer the selection of desserts available on our menu.
  • Do you ship your desserts nationwide?
    No. Unfortunately, we do not currently offer shipping. We only offer pickup and delivery services in the (DMV) Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. For information visit us at www.kakedemic.com or email us at kakedemic@gmail.com.
  • Does Kakedemic have a mobile app? Can I order from the app?
    No. At present, we do not have a mobile app. We ask our customers to order our desserts online ordering system or via phone by calling us at 571-659-5177.
  • Do you accept same-day pickup delivery orders?
    Same-day delivery may be available within a certain radius or during certain times. To see if a same-day delivery is available to your address, please call our customer service number at 571-659-5177 and a member of our team would be happy to assist you!
  • Do I need to order my desserts in advance?
    Yes! Please note that all order must be placed at least 48 hours in advance. For rush or same day orders please call us directly to speak with a team member to see if your request can be fulfilled.
  • Do I need to pre-pay?
    For all orders, we kindly request payment in advance. Our delivery drivers do not accept cash on delivery. We are only processing online transactions via our online ordering system and credit card payment via phone. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
  • Can I order desserts online for pick-up or delivery?
    Yes! You can place an order for pick-up or delivery through our online ordering system or via phone by calling us at 571-659-5177. All available pick-up and delivery dates and times, and shipping arrival dates will be shown on the website ordering system. Please note that Kakedemic may impose earlier order cut-off dates and times for order dates when we are fulfilling a high volume of pick-up, delivery, and national shipping orders.
  • Can I request Kakedemic to provide desserts for a private event?
    Yes! We would be more than happy to provide desserts for your private event. To request this, please complete the private event form. Once received, a member of our team will reach out to you to discuss the details of your event.
  • Does Kakedemic offer any "alcoholic" dessert flavors?
    Yes. Kakedemic does offer desserts that are infused with alcohol. Any alcohol-inspired flavors must be purchased by customers 21 and over.
  • Can I include a personalized gift message with my order?
    Yes! Customers may choose to include a personalized gift message printed on Kakedemic stationery to include with their order.
  • If I have a nut-allergy, should I eat at Kakedemic?
    Kakedemic is NOT a nut-free bakery, but we do not bake with high volumes of peanut or various other nut products. Many of our flavors contain 0 peanuts or other nut products.
